Stuart Dybek (born April 10, ) is an American writer of fiction and poetry. Dybek, a second-generation Polish American, [2] was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Chicago's Little Village and Pilsen neighborhoods in the s and early s.Stuart Dybek was born in 1942 and was raised in the southwest side of Chicago, in what would later be known as Pilsen and El Barrio, through the 1950s and 1960s.
